About the Rural Thought Exchange

The vision of this program is to understand, support and inspire innovation in rural communities.  We have designed our Thought Exchanges to be a unique peer-to-peer learning experience where all participants welcome new ideas.  We have a thought leader to help lead and guide the discussion.  Discussions afterwards on course-based platforms and online are supported by the Rural Thought Exchange team.

Over several years, we've had a wealth of knowledge from many of our participants. In some cases, these participants end up coming back as hosts themselves.  The conversations, resources, questions and ideas continue to live on, informing strategy and programming across Canada.  This program is supported by a network of organizations who care about rural quality of life.
